Welcome to the Tatra Projects! The Tatra Project is a non-profit California Public Benefit Corporation. It has been set up principally to help people and organizations in the former Soviet Republics and their satellite states in the areas of education, mental health and public service as well as to promote their religious, cultural, human and civil rights. In support of these goals The Tatra Project provides educational materials and programs. The Tatra Project also promotes research and education in the West about life under the former Soviet Union. And within the limits set by law, The Tatra Project also serves as an advocate in these areas. The Tatra Project is
named symbolically after the Tatra Mountain Range, the highest
in Eastern Europe. Their peaks and forests have long provided
both resources and refuge to the people of Eastern Europe. And
their waters flow across borders, languages and cultures from
the Baltic Sea in the north to the Adriatic and Black Seas in
the south. |
